  • 2019-2020 TIDE Monitoring Test Progress Closing

Districts have until July 31, 2020 to run the various reports available in the Monitoring Test Progress task in TIDE for the 2019-2020 school year. These reports provide information about students who tested online and those whose responses were entered in the Data Entry Interface (DEI).

Two reports provide district-wide views of testing: the Test Status Code Report and the Test Completion Rates Report.

    • Test Status Code Report. This report provides a list of every test a student started, had data entry started or was eligible to take for a given assessment program (e.g., OST, AASCD).
    • Test Completion Rates Report. This report provides student counts and the percentages of tests started and completed for a given assessment program.

Districts that would like a record of tests administered online or entered in the DEI may run one or both reports prior to July 31, 2020 for tests administered during the 2019-2020 school year.

For additional information on Monitoring Test Progress, including details of all available reports and how to run them, please consult the TIDE User Guide.

The Ohio Department of Education invites all districts and schools to participate in the Spring 2019 Alternate Assessment for students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD) 2.0 online independent field test window April 15 - May 31. The AASCD 2.0 independent field test may be administered to any student who took the spring 2019 AASCD 1.0. Students who were preidentified in TIDE for the spring 2019 AASCD 1.0 are automatically preidentified for the AASCD 2.0 independent field test.

Participation in the Spring 2019 field test is voluntary and there is no minimum number of students or schools within a district that must participate. Districts may choose to have all students who take the alternate assessment in the district participate in the field test, or only a school or classroom in the district might participate, or even just one student in the district may take the field test. The department encourages as many eligible students within a district as possible take the field test.
